Fire Mountain School is a non-profit private school that serves the children of Oregon’s North Coast. It is comprised of parent membership, staff, and the board of directors.
The reason we are able to offer such a low tuition rate is because we: a.) are a non-profit organization b.) have a small staff and rely on parent volunteerism to maintain our school grounds and school culture. c.) actively fundraise and pursue grants throughout the year.
Parents of Fire Mountain students are the a members of the non-profit. Members have the right to vote to elect board members and have a say in fundamental matters. Parent-Member feedback is utilized to implement and update school policy and procedure throughout the year.
As a non-profit organization, our goal is to give back to the community. Our most fundamental offering to the North Coast is the quality and accessibility of our unique program and the stellar citizens it produces. Additionally, our children participate in programs that benefit the community and ecosystem and are taught the value ofstewardship to both the people and the land. Recent partnerships have included North Coast Land Conservancy, Lower Nehalem Community Trust, and Coast Watch.
